About

Welcome!

Ever watch or read the Ohio political news and think, our legislature did what?!

While Ohio voted 53% Republican in the 2020 presidential election, the state legislature reflects a much redder population than reality (House is 64% R, Senate is over 75% R).

Let’s hold our legislators accountable to creating and sustaining the Ohio we want to see.

The What the Buck? newsletter highlights proposed legislation and other key political moves by Ohio politicians so you can stay informed and take action.

We believe in transparent government that is accountable to its constituents, so when we see a proposed bill that threatens to harm Ohioans, curtail our civil rights, or is just plain dumb, we’ll suggest some ways you can reach out to your legislators and voice your opposition.

And if we hear about legislation we think will serve Ohioans well, we’ll let you know about that too so you can reach out in support.

You can expect to receive 2-4 newsletters a month updating you on key Ohio political news.

Not sure who represents you in the Ohio House of Representatives or Ohio Senate? Find your legislators here.

In 2021, Ohio’s political districts will be re-mapped, hopefully with a lot less gerrymandering this time around. (Get involved in map advocacy via Common Cause here.)
